On Wednesday 15th June, the Goods Shed welcome a new cohort of Coleg Sir Gar’s Year One, Public Services Level 3 students to the site.
The students, who are all aspiring public services workers, dedicated a whole day of hard work volunteering in the hot sun. The tasks the students undertook varied from clearing the weeds and litter picking around the platforms, uncovering the train tracks and cleaning graffiti off the train and storage units on site.
The effort shown by the group was incredible and will allow the Trust to move the train from its current position so we can lay fresh tracks within the main Goods Shed building and bring trains back inside the Goods Shed after many years with no tracks or trains within.
The Trustees would like to pass on their warmest thanks to the students and their lecturers and are looking forward to welcoming the students back for further volunteering opportunities.
