During late March and early April, both manually and with the assistance of construction and excavating equipment, work has been undertaken to remove the concrete, metal and general debris left behind by Network Rail. This work has revealed structural and operational features of both the building and the yard.
In addition, the extensive vegetation under the canopied extension and the adjacent area of the yard has been removed.
There is still much more material and vegetation to be removed at the eastern end of the yard over the coming months.
